Inventory Levelling Off: SF Mid Peninsula Market Watch – Week Ending 10/27/07

The late breaking news is that the inventory is levelling of in areas where it had been growing at a pretty high rate. The table below shows the new listings and new sale data for the core Mid Peninsula Cities. Palo Alto continues to have a shrinking inventory currently at about 30 single family residences (sfr) and 15 condos (cid) which is not a record low but is definitely at the low end of the range. San Mateo’s inventory has levelled and begun to decline while Redwood City’s inventory is nearly leveled off.

Total inventory for the SF Mid Peninsula is now 1,305 for 16 cities. There are 417 pending sales in the area which indicates approximately a 3 month supply of homes for sale.
